DESCRIPTION: France, two-part porcelain mantel clock, 8 day, time and strike, pendule de Paris movement with silk thread suspension, the case in the style of Jacob Petit, decorated with molded and brightly painted naturalistic ornament, blue ground highlighted by bright gilding, white enamel dial with Roman numerals, Breguet style steel hands, all resting on a wood base under a glass dome
CONDITION: The porcelain case and base are very good with minor wear and a tiny chip to one of the petals of the larger flower on the left side. Some of the gold has been touched up. White enamel dial is very good. The hands look to have been painted at some point. The associated wooden base and dome are new. The movement is signed by Vincenti with the Medialle d'Argent award. Dimensions are for the two part clock without the dome.
